What a way to end the season!
The weather cooperated so we all had a full weekend of racing. Four 500M races; the BC Challenge race and the Greatest Steersperson race for our team.
After a slower start in our first 2 races (finishing 3rd in both), we finished 1st in our next 3 races (all by less than 1 sec). Super exciting to the finish! We brought home a Gold medal for the Women’s Gold A Division and a Gold medal for the BC Challenge race.

The Dale Charles Memorial Cup began in 2004. It is awarded to the winning team of the BC Challenge race. In the past, it has been mainly won by 3 teams; Survivorship, Breast Friends, & Sistership Calgary. We broke the streak in 2014 and won for our second time this year by 4/10th of a second. A nail biter of a race to the end.
